QUEER SAUNA is a hedonistic underground techno party inspired by our German cousin Herrensauna. It has a firm focus on high quality and hard hitting techno and acid for max raving.
This edition of QUEER SAUNA will take place at BLÅ which, with its 400+ events each year, is the leading venue/club in Norway within the ‘alternative’ sector of live music and nightclubs.
What happens in the sauna shall stay in the sauna. No camera use allowed.
Please be mindful that QUEER SAUNA is a QUEER party. If you are not part of the LGBTQIA+ community, you are a guest. We therefore ask you to behave like one. We seek to create a safe space for free expression of queer gender and sexuality. All sexualities and orientations are welcome, but a queer mindset is encouraged. The club reserves the right to escort persons out of the venue by the security staff, eg. in the event of behaviour akin to harassment or actions without consent.
You can come as you are, but self-expression is encouraged for us to easily identify you at the entrance and in order to contribute to the vibe of the party.

> REVERSO (DE) is part of Berlin’s premier queer 1920s Weimar Republic production Le Pustra’s Kabarett Der Namenlosen. The mythical bizarre Berlin drag legend describes himself like this in a recent edition of Crack Magazine:
«My work is an act of a non-paralysing terror. It’s about being on the opposite side of something, the reverse side – the side that people choose not to see through. It desires to construct a world that goes only in ReveRso. The most important aspect is transformation, or, mutation. I love that idea – that I can just change. You introduce a character and you morph ‘it’ through an idea, so ultimately that character becomes ‘un autre.’ You emerge as an opposite, a reflection of someone else, someone transformed. When I’m ReveRso, it takes over everything. (…)
When we’re talking about drag – what it means to be a ‘drag performer’ nowadays – I don’t want to fit that pattern. I’m not trying to impersonate a woman, I don’t want to be defined by my gender. I’m more into being a creature – a sense of being something else. The transformation of ReveRso is about how you can engage with that – finding out about your strengths, your weaknesses, your desires, your darkness and everything in between. The transformation is everything.»
> ELEKTRA PUZZZ is an Oslo-based drag performer. She is a member of the renown drag collective Princessilicious and co-producer of Open Drag Stage with Nabi Yeon Geisha
> IDA NERBØ plays a hypnotic and twisted mix of techno and acid. Known for delivering deep, yet punchy sets, she is a key figure in the underground scene in Bergen as well as in the established clubs. The past years, gigs across Norway and in Portugal, Hong Kong and China have enabled Ida Nerbø to specialise her style of hypnotic techno. She has performed DJ-sets at outdoor raves, on boats in the fjords of Norway, in clubs and at festivals, always offering a selection of fresh new tracks combined with techno gems from the archive.
Ida contributes to the techno scene in Norway with various side projects such as publishing the Bergen Techno Fanzine, a printed magazine about techno culture in Norway.
Ida is part of DOT Collective Bergen, which is a team that creates and promotes dance events focusing on unusual techno acts in combination with art and light work.
> DON CARL is resident DJ at Underground Club and QUEER SAUNA, as well as an affiliate of the Technokjeller DJ-team.
He has been featured by Oslo hosts and parties like Grunerløkka Alternatives, Aftenrøde, Mind The Gap – and the renowned Technokjeller, on venues such as Hausmania, Oslo Camping, Påfuglen, Klubb Q, VULKAN and Elsker, as well as on the Spanish queer scene, where he also DJ debuted. His sample-based, hard hitting and high pace acid techno has filled may dance floors in and out of Norway.
A part from his stamina and mixing style, his track selection is what truly stands out. What may seem eclectic on first sight, is a well-curated mix of electronic gems. When mixing, Don Carl seeks for repetitive and danceable samples, as well as sweet spots between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style. It’s the dancefloors that taught this DJ his empathy and intuition for the sounds that make a crowd vibrate. A close follower of significant artists on the Berlin music scene such as Héctor Oaks, Marcel Dettmann and Etapp Kyle, his techno sets are carefully spiced with energetic funk and jacking house grooves.
> CASSIE BRØDSKIVE is a seasoned and experienced dancer, drag artist with a dance degree from the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo (Kunsthøyskolen). Cassie is a reputable name on the national drag scene and has, over the years, been involved in a substantial number of dance and drag projects, inter alia as a 6 year member of the drag ensemble Princessilicious and as founder of Draglaboratoriet. She has acted repeatedly on most of the relevant scenes in the country and is a staple artist inter alia at renowned queer club Elsker.
